whats everyone's perspective on P2P (LimeWire, Torrents, etc) file 'sharing'....
should it be illegal?
should the people that insert viruses n malware be held accountable?
should the P2P sites be closed down?

I'll admit I use em, hell over the past couple of days, Ive downloaded 4-5 movies, in the past, I've d/l'ed more songs than ya can shake a stick at! my 'puter aint Ft Knox, but it aint like 'ma n pa's roadside fruit stand either; I keep it secured.

I just d/l'ed Hellboy2 from a Torrent, turns out not only was it p/w protected, it also had trojans n a few asst other malware injected into it. I was not infected, my security programs caught it all, just pissed me off spendin that much time d/l'in a movie only to find out it was junk!

have any of yall ever used P2P, besides LimeWire (I think EVERYONE has used that!) to d/l a file?

I dunno, I think downloading full albums is honestly lame.

I have 1 album that I've downloaded and it wasn't even worth that. I do have CDs that I've copied from my brother (pretty much metalica, pantera, sublime and cypress hill).

But for the most part if I burn a CD it's all just singles n shit. I just prefer to get up off of my ass go out and buy the shit at the mom and pop owned record stores or just buy it at shows. Or I just order it str8 off the bands website.

I do use limewire to get singles n shit or shit I can't find anywhere else. It's good to have for shit like that.

People bitch and complain at the price of cds n shit, I haven't spent 20 bucks for a cd in a good while. I usually spend maybe 15 bucks at most. Plus I only buy cds from bands I actually like. The net is great for sampling music, and that's basically it.

The thing that I just really think is dumb is fuckin Ipods! Especially the ones that play videos, what the fuck is up with that?! Why would you wanna watch anything on a screen that small?! Now I can understand using an Ipod if you're working out or doing something that requires a lot of use of both hands. But I still just prefer my discman.

The entertainment industry costs money! Studio time costs money! Filming a movie costs money! People need to realize that. I know that there's a lot of wannabe rappers and other artists who just record shit at home on their computers and call it a day. But honestly very few of them actually have good sound quality or can even really rap. I know studios cost a lot of money, that's why you save your shit and record what you can.

Also the whole downloading movies thing I think is just fuckin WACK! The reason why tickets are so high now is because movie theaters are losing a lot of money due to people pirating the shit. Call me crazy but I just don't like watching movies (except porn) on my computer. I love going to the theater, I like to watch shit on the big screen, I don't like being a total shut in! lol Sure it gets annoying as fuck when people let their kids run around the theater. That's why they build those sound proof rooms for kids now.

I know that there's nothing anyone can do about this, I know I'm just pissing in the wind here but yeah. lol Oh and I will freely admit (this is of course sorry but stick with me! lol) that cell phones are a great thing. If you're stuck some where it's better to have a cell then not have one. They're perfect for emergencies..... yes EMERGENCIES! lol People who talk on their cells while driving or especially text while driving, you deserve to die in a car crash. Im sorry if that offends anyone but people are fuckin stupid!!!! And if you own a blue tooth head piece you should be mauled by a pack of ravenous wolves! lol Some of us who actually do talk to ourselves look at those ppl as fuckin posers! lol

when Hancock is released on dvd, Imma prolly buy it, Im still undecided on Indiana Jones though

I sit at home, drink a beer or whiskey if I wanna, I PAUSE the movie n piss if I needta, etc etc
I aint gonna pay $8-$9 for a ticket, $4 for a watery coke then haveta put up with other ppls lil bastards runnin around when I can wait a couple months n pay same amount of money to buy the damn dvd n watch it whenever I wanna, how ever many times I wanna!

plus I d/l'ed a Steve McQueen movie I dont think Id ever saw n since I like McQueen..... hell, I aint ever saw it for sale so ya bet ya ass I grabbed it!!!
and with music, I dont d/l whole album/record/cd, just individual songs I like

The only CDs I buy anymore, are Korn.. Two copies each.. One to listen too, one to have signed.

yea, I been usin utorrent, search masinly on isohunt for torrents
some are fast
some are slow
some are just junk
but theres all kinds of shit out there ya can d/l
